Traditional Acupuncture is one of the longest established forms of healthcare in the world. It considers the body as an energetic system of interconnected meridians controlling all physiological functions, such as digestive, respiratory, renal, hepatic, urinary or cardiac functions, etc.
Thus, acupuncture understands the physiology as a global system and works toward restoring its energetic balance. In this way, symptoms that we commonly consider as pathologies, are seen as secondary effects of energetical imbalance. By restoring the balance, it restores the physiology and finally health.
Most people think of acupuncture as using needles only. In fact, different techniques are used according to the treatment required: moxibustion (heating up energetic points), cupping (glass cups with a vacuum seal stimulating blood flow and clearing stagnant energy), Plum Blossom stick, etc...
Acupuncture needles are as thin as a hair and painless (nothing compare to injection's needles).
As a GP, I have worked with Julien since 2004.
A good part of my patients received cares from him. The exchange between our practices was mutual and successfull.

"I'd been having acute back pains for over a year. Painkillers & exercise to ease the pains but not very successful. GP suggested deep tissue massage might help. Been to a couple since, helped but not much. Came to Glasgow Global Therapy on Tuesday, had acupuncture session and today's Friday, I'm still feeling great. Look forward to another appointment in January. Thanks."
